Runner-up for NME Portrait Photographer of the year 2011, London-based Jenny hardcore has been primarily shooting bands across the UK since early 2005. Having started out with a 35mm Pentax K1000, her work progressed through the digital format and she now uses a variety of classic cameras, medium format and digital SLR.

Her work involves various styles and genre from commercial and promotional photography to personal art projects as well as continuing work with established and up-coming musicians.

She has worked with a range of artists including The Stranglers, The Charlatans, Babyshambles, Shane MacGowan, Florence & The Machine, The Who and many more

Published work includes creative contributions for Dazed Digital as well as editorial contributions for Time Out, The Guardian Guide, Attitude magazine and Artrocker. Artwork images have been used by The Charlatans, The Holloways, Frank Turner and more.

Her work has been exhibited in The Tom-Tom, Chepstow and SW1 Galleries  as well as The Print Space, London. She is currently working towards her first non-music based exhibition, which will feature images from her personal projects.

Between August 2006 and May 2008, Jenny worked closely with iconic Manchester band The Charlatans, creating photo tour diaries and artwork as well as contributing over 200 images to a limited-edition poster included with the album ‘ You Cross My Path’.

In July 2007 eleven of her photographs were published in the large format art book ‘Punk – a directory of modern subversive youth culture’. Additionally her images have been published in magazines and promotional material across Europe.
